Best software for coordinating crews and suppliers in 2026

Coordinating crews and suppliers takes two sets of tools in one place: dispatching people, and ordering and receiving parts. Claver publishes a price for both, with crew dispatch on Crew ($39/mo) and purchase orders, vendors and truck stock on Business ($79/mo). Workiz, FieldEdge and Service Fusion keep their inventory tools on plans with no published price, and QuickBooks Online Plus publishes a price for purchase orders but is accounting software.

Claver makes this page, and Claver is one of the options. Competitor prices come from each company's own pricing page, last checked September 27, 2026.

What is the best software for coordinating crews and suppliers?

It depends on whether the supplier side of your work is a few part orders or a real purchasing workflow. In this guide, Claver, Workiz and FieldEdge keep inventory for their top plan, and Service Fusion starts it one tier lower, so the table shows where each tool's supplier tools start and what that plan costs.

How we compared these tools

We compared published prices, plan limits and features from each vendor's own pricing page, as last checked on September 27, 2026. We did not test the apps hands-on or survey their users, so nothing here ranks tools on ease of use or support. Where a company publishes no price, we say so instead of estimating one.

This guide covers field service software, and one accounting tool, where the vendor's own plan information names inventory or purchase orders. Jobber and Housecall Pro are not in the table because we have not verified their purchase-order features; our scheduling and dispatch guide covers how they handle crews. Construction project-management platforms are a separate category this guide does not compare. Claver's plan details come from Claver's own product.

What does each tool offer for crews and suppliers?

Each profile covers what the tool does for crews, what it does for suppliers, what the plan costs and one real tradeoff. Workiz, FieldEdge and Service Fusion are marked as not published because none lists a price.

Claver

Claver is field service software for small home-service businesses, with users included in one flat monthly price: Starter is $19/mo for 2 users, Crew $39/mo for 8 and Business $79/mo for 20, month-to-month. Crew is where crews are coordinated: a drag-and-drop dispatch board, crews you assign as a unit, multi-day jobs with a different crew each day, a job offer flow, free subcontractor seats that receive job offers by text, GPS tracking and route optimization. Business adds the supplier tools: vendors, purchase orders you can email to a vendor or print, receiving that records partial or complete deliveries, stock at the shop and on each truck, shortage lists when an item falls below its minimum, and requisitions techs submit for parts. Business also adds dispatch by tech skills and smart dispatch suggestions.

Tradeoff: Supplier tools are on Business only, so a crew on the $39 Crew plan can dispatch but not order parts in the app. Purchase orders leave Claver by email or printout, and vendors and bills do not sync to QuickBooks Online. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon; today Claver is a web app you install from the browser. It is a newer product with a smaller integration list than Jobber or Housecall Pro, and there is no free plan: it is $1 for 14 days, then $19/mo.

Workiz

Workiz sells three plans, Standard, Pro and Ultimate, each with a "Request pricing" button instead of a number. Recurring jobs are on every plan, Genius Scheduling starts on Pro and multi-day jobs on Ultimate. Ultimate also adds flat rate, sales proposals, service plans, inventory, purchase orders, equipment tracking and an open API. Workiz offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card.

Tradeoff: It publishes no prices, and Genius Phone, Genius Answering and Genius Marketing are sold separately from the plans, so budget for them on top of a quote.

FieldEdge

FieldEdge sells three tiers, Select, Premier and Elite, all marked Request Pricing, scaling from essential single-truck tools up to comprehensive multi-truck operations. Mobile app licenses included rise from 2 on Select to 4 on Premier and 6 on Elite. Warehouse inventory management is on Elite only, alongside outbound call recording.

Tradeoff: There are no published prices and no free trial, so you learn the cost through a quote and guided onboarding.

Service Fusion

Service Fusion has three tiers, Starter, Plus and Pro, with no published prices; its pricing page leads to a demo. It states that every plan includes unlimited users. Inventory management and job costing start on Plus, while customer web portals and recurring invoicing sit on Pro.

Tradeoff: You cannot see what any of it costs until you talk to sales. Its pricing page says plans are month-to-month with a 15% discount for annual billing, but gives no dollar figures.

QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online is accounting software: automated bookkeeping, expense categorizing, accountant access and reports. Simple Start is $38/mo for one user, Essentials $85/mo for 3, Plus $140/mo for 5 with inventory, purchase orders and project profitability, and Advanced $340/mo for 25 with batch invoices and workflow automation. When we checked, its pricing page offered 50% off for the first 3 months, and it has a 30-day free trial.

Tradeoff: It is built for the books, not the field, so online booking, scheduling and dispatch come from a separate app. Workiz syncs with it on every plan, Jobber from Connect, Housecall Pro from Essentials and Claver from Crew.

Which software should you choose for crews and suppliers?

Choose by how much of your purchasing you want inside the same tool as your schedule, and by whether you can wait for a quote. Claver is the only tool here where you can see the price of both halves today.

  • One tool for both, at a price you can see today. Claver Crew ($39/mo, 8 users) dispatches crews; Business ($79/mo, 20 users) adds purchase orders, vendors and truck stock.
  • Crews now, purchasing later. If you only need crew dispatch today, Claver Crew ($39/mo) includes it, and the supplier tools are one plan up.
  • A multi-truck operation with a warehouse, and you are fine with a demo. FieldEdge Elite lists warehouse inventory management and Workiz Ultimate lists inventory and purchase orders. Neither publishes a price, so expect a quote.
  • Purchasing lives in your accounting software. QuickBooks Online Plus ($140/mo for up to 5 users) has purchase orders and inventory. Pair it with a scheduling app that syncs to it: Claver from Crew, Jobber from Connect or Housecall Pro from Essentials.
  • A large team and no per-user pricing. Service Fusion states unlimited users on every plan, but publishes no price.

To see how this plays out in a trade, read about Claver for home remodeling, bathroom remodeling and concrete crews. For dispatch alone, see our scheduling and dispatch guide.

What should you look for when coordinating crews and suppliers?

Look at where the supplier tools start, whether a purchase order reaches the vendor, and whether stock lives on trucks as well as in a warehouse. Those decide whether purchasing really happens inside the tool.

  • Where the supplier tools start. Claver, Workiz and FieldEdge put inventory on their top plan, and Service Fusion starts it one tier lower, on Plus. Price your team on that plan, not the entry plan.
  • How a purchase order reaches the vendor. Claver emails it or prints it. Ask every vendor what happens after you create one.
  • Whether you can receive part of an order. Claver records partial and complete deliveries against an open purchase order.
  • Where stock lives. Claver tracks stock at the shop and on each truck, with a shortage list when an item falls below its minimum. FieldEdge lists warehouse inventory on Elite.
  • Whether techs can request parts. Claver techs submit requisitions; ask whether others offer the same.
  • Whether vendors and bills reach your books. Claver does not sync vendors or bills to QuickBooks Online. Ask each vendor what flows to your accountant.
  • How subcontractors are handled. Claver's free subcontractor seats start on Crew. Ask others whether subs need a paid seat.
  • How it charges for users. Claver includes 2, 8 or 20 users in flat plans, Service Fusion states unlimited users, and Workiz and FieldEdge do not publish user pricing. Price your team as it will be a year from now.

Crews and suppliers software FAQ

What is the best software for coordinating crews and suppliers?
It depends on whether you want crews and suppliers in one tool at a published price. Claver puts crew dispatch on Crew ($39/mo for 8 users) and purchase orders, vendors and truck stock on Business ($79/mo for 20 users). Workiz Ultimate (inventory and purchase orders), FieldEdge Elite (warehouse inventory) and Service Fusion Plus (inventory) sit on plans with no published price, and QuickBooks Online Plus publishes a price for purchase orders but is accounting software.
Which field service software has purchase orders?
Of the tools in this guide, Claver lists purchase orders and vendors on Business, Workiz lists purchase orders on Ultimate and QuickBooks Online lists them on Plus. FieldEdge and Service Fusion list inventory management; we did not verify purchase orders for either. We also have not verified purchase orders for Jobber or Housecall Pro, so ask each vendor.
How much does software with purchase orders cost?
Claver Business is $79/mo for up to 20 users, month-to-month. QuickBooks Online Plus is $140/mo for up to 5 users, and its pricing page showed 50% off for the first 3 months when we checked. Workiz, FieldEdge and Service Fusion publish no prices, so you get a quote through a pricing request or a demo.
Can I assign a whole crew to a job and schedule multi-day work?
In Claver, yes, on Crew. You can assign a named crew as a unit on a job or recurring plan, and a multi-day job can have a different crew each day, with a task checklist per phase. Workiz lists multi-day jobs on Ultimate. For the other tools, check each vendor's plan table.
Can subcontractors use the software too?
Claver's subcontractor seats are free and start on Crew. A subcontractor receives a job offer by text with a no-login link to accept or decline, and the owner is notified of the answer.
What about Jobber and Housecall Pro?
They are not in the comparison because we have not verified their purchase-order or inventory features. Both are covered for dispatch in our scheduling and dispatch guide. Before you buy either for supplier work, ask which plan, if any, includes purchase orders.
Does Claver sync vendors and bills to QuickBooks?
No. Claver's QuickBooks Online sync starts on Crew and is one-way: when a job is completed or paid it pushes the customer, the line-item invoice, the payment and any refund. The chart of accounts, vendors and bills are not synced, so a purchase order in Claver does not become a bill in QuickBooks.
Can I track parts on trucks as well as in a warehouse?
Claver's Business plan tracks stock at the shop and on each truck, shows a shortage list when an item falls below its minimum, and lets techs submit requisitions for parts. FieldEdge lists warehouse inventory management on Elite. We did not verify truck-level stock for the other tools.
