  • Basic is for one person. Once you pick a team, the cheapest plan shown is Essentials.
  • Extra users are priced up front. Housecall Pro states the per-user fee for each team plan, so you can work out the cost of a sixth or ninth person before you call anyone.

What does each Housecall Pro plan include?

Basic covers online booking, scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoicing, a price book and a KPI dashboard. Essentials adds job costing, QuickBooks Online sync, a sales proposal tool, membership plans, equipment tracking and flat-rate pricing. Max adds route optimization, a pipeline, AI pricing insights, open API access and a dedicated onboarding specialist.

From each plan's feature list on Housecall Pro's pricing page, checked September 27, 2026. The page lists what each plan adds over the one below it, not a full feature table.

  • Card processing. The pricing page lists card rates "as low as 2.59%" on every plan.
  • QuickBooks and job costing start on Essentials. A one-person shop that needs either pays $229/mo instead of $79/mo.
  • Route optimization is on Max. That's $349/mo for one user or $649/mo for a team of eight.

What does Housecall Pro sell as add-ons?

CSR AI, Payroll and Accounting are sold as add-ons, separate from every plan. The pricing page doesn't list their prices. When we checked, CSR AI, which answers calls and chats, was offered free for 4 weeks.

  • CSR AI. AI that answers calls and chats, day or night. Price not shown on the pricing page.
  • Payroll. Sold separately. Price not shown on the pricing page.
  • Accounting. Sold separately. Price not shown on the pricing page.

Does Housecall Pro have a free trial or a contract?

Housecall Pro offers a 14-day free trial of its Max plan with no credit card needed, and it sends a reminder before the trial ends. It says it doesn't require long-term contracts, and no setup fee appears on the pricing page.

Is Housecall Pro worth it?

Housecall Pro is worth it if you'll use what Essentials or Max adds, such as job costing, proposals, memberships and equipment tracking. For a small team that mainly needs booking, scheduling, invoicing and texting, the team price of $299/mo for 5 users is a lot to pay for tools you won't open.

  • Good value when you sell larger jobs with good-better-best proposals, run membership plans, or track equipment at customer homes.
  • Worth a second look when you're a team of two or three paying for five users, or you only need Basic's tools but have a helper who needs a login.
  • Budget for add-ons. AI call answering, payroll and accounting are extra, and their prices aren't on the pricing page.

Are there cheaper Housecall Pro alternatives for small teams?

Yes. Claver is field service software for small home-service businesses: scheduling, quotes, invoicing, payments and customer texting, with users included in one flat monthly price. Starter is $19/mo for 2 users, Crew is $39/mo for 8 and Business is $79/mo for 20.

  • Where it costs less. Job costing, QuickBooks Online sync, good-better-best proposals and route optimization are on Crew at $39/mo with 8 users included. Online booking with live pricing and customer self-signup into recurring plans are on the $19 plan.
  • Where it's weaker. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon, so today it runs as an installable web app. Tap to Pay is coming soon. It's a newer product with a smaller integration list than Housecall Pro. There's no free plan. The phone system and AI receptionist are Business only, and the AI receptionist takes booking requests for you to confirm rather than booking on its own.

$1 for 14 days, then $19/mo. Crew and Business are billed at full price from day one. For more options, see Housecall Pro alternatives or Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
