Best garage door software in 2026
The best garage door software depends on whether garage-door-specific tools or a published price matters more. Garage Door Matrix is built specifically for garage door companies, currently $19.99/mo under launch pricing. ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldEdge publish no prices. Jobber and Housecall Pro are general field service apps with published prices, and Claver includes 2, 8 or 20 users in one flat price from $19/mo.
Claver makes this page, and Claver is one of the options. Competitor prices come from each company's own pricing page, checked September 27, 2026.
What is the best garage door software?
No single app fits every garage door company. One tool here is built specifically for garage door work; three of the rest publish no price at all. The table puts all six side by side.
| Software | Best for | Starting price | Users included | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claver | Garage door shops that want users included in one flat price | $19/mo | 2 on Starter, 8 on Crew ($39/mo), 20 on Business ($79/mo) | Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon; dispatch and two-way texting start on Crew |
| Garage Door Matrix | Garage door companies that want a spring calculator and inspection forms built in | $19.99/mo (Starter, launch pricing; $39.99/mo regular) | 1 on Starter, 6 on Growth ($39.99/mo launch), 12 on Operations ($99/mo launch) | Prices are launch pricing, about half the listed regular price, and may not stay this low |
| Jobber | Garage door pros who want one app that grows from solo to team plans | $49/mo, or $29/mo billed annually (Core) | 1 on Core; team plans are priced by team size | GPS, routing and QuickBooks sync start on Connect; two-way texting and job costing start on Grow |
| Housecall Pro | Garage door pros who want an established all-in-one platform | $79/mo (Basic, 1 user) | 1 on Basic; 5 on the Essentials team plan ($299/mo) | Extra users cost $100/mo each on Essentials and $75/mo on Max team plans |
| ServiceTitan | Larger, growing garage door and home-service companies | Quote only, no public pricing | Priced per technician | No public prices and no self-serve trial; buying starts with a demo |
| Workiz | Growing teams up to multi-location companies and franchises | Quote only, no public pricing | Not published | No public prices; its phone system and AI answering are sold separately |
| FieldEdge | Multi-truck operations that want detailed per-tier feature gating | Quote only, no public pricing | Mobile app licenses included differ by tier (2, 4 or 6), no dollar figure published | No free trial; onboarding is guided, not self-serve |
Last verified September 27, 2026 from each company's public pricing page: Jobber, Housecall Pro, Garage Door Matrix, ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldEdge. ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldEdge publish no prices. Garage Door Matrix's prices are labeled "Launch Pricing" on its own site, roughly half its listed "Regular" price, and the vendor notes this may not stay in place. Housecall Pro shows its prices after a short quiz about your trade and team size; the figures here are from its result for a one-person team. Jobber was running a limited-time discount when we checked, so the figures here are its regular rates. Prices change, so check the source before you buy.
How we compared these tools
We compared published prices, plan limits and features on each vendor's own site on September 27, 2026. We did not test the apps hands-on or survey their users, so nothing here ranks tools on ease of use or support. Where a company publishes no price, we say so instead of estimating one.
The six tools are ones garage door companies often weigh against each other, from a garage-door-specific platform to general field service apps. Each profile below uses the vendor's own plan names and descriptions. Claver's plan details come from Claver's own product.
What does each garage door software option offer?
Each profile covers what the tool is, who it suits, what it costs and one real tradeoff. ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldEdge are marked quote only because none publishes a price.
Claver
Claver is field service software for small home-service businesses: scheduling, quotes, invoicing, payments and customer texting, with users included in one flat monthly price. Starter is $19/mo for 2 users, Crew $39/mo for 8 and Business $79/mo for 20, month-to-month. Starter includes online booking with live pricing, a customer portal, quotes, invoicing, card payments and recurring plans that customers can sign up for on their own. Crew adds dispatch, two-way texting, GPS tracking, route optimization and QuickBooks Online sync. Business adds a built-in phone system and an AI receptionist.
Tradeoff: Native iOS and Android apps and Tap to Pay are coming soon; today Claver is a web app you install from the browser. It is a newer product with a smaller integration list than Jobber or Housecall Pro, and there is no free plan: it is $1 for 14 days, then $19/mo. The AI receptionist is on Business only, and it takes booking requests for you to confirm rather than booking on its own.
Garage Door Matrix
Garage Door Matrix is built specifically for garage door companies, with a spring calculator, site-check and inspection forms (opening sizes, headroom, back framing, wiring status) and role-based dashboards. Under its current launch pricing, Starter is $19.99/mo for 1 user (regular price $39.99/mo), Growth is $39.99/mo for 6 users (regular $79.99/mo) and Operations is $99/mo for 12 users (regular $179/mo). It offers a 14-day free trial for approved companies.
Tradeoff: The vendor labels every price "Launch Pricing," roughly half its listed "Regular" price, and its own copy says early companies can use launch pricing while the company is still growing, meaning these rates may not be permanent. Its trial is gated to approved signups rather than fully self-serve.
Jobber
Jobber is an all-in-one app for home service pros to book, quote, invoice and grow, with plans from one user up to teams. Core is $49/mo for one user month-to-month, or $29/mo billed annually. Team plans are priced by team size: Connect for up to 5 users is $199/mo ($149/mo billed annually). Online booking and a client hub are on every plan, it has native iOS and Android apps, and you can try it free without a card.
Tradeoff: Many features sit above Core. GPS tracking, routing, automated client notifications and QuickBooks Online sync start on Connect, and two-way texting and job costing start on Grow. The AI Receptionist is a $29/mo add-on.
Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro is an all-in-one platform for residential and commercial pros. Its pricing page runs you through a quiz about your trade and team size before showing prices; for a one-person team it lists Basic at $79/mo, with online booking, scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoicing. Essentials ($229/mo for one user) adds job costing, membership plans and QuickBooks Online sync, and Max ($349/mo) adds route optimization. It has a free mobile app for iOS and Android and a 14-day free trial with no card.
Tradeoff: Team plans start at $299/mo for 5 users on Essentials, and each extra user adds $100/mo. Max for teams is $649/mo for 8 users, plus $75/mo per extra user. AI call answering is a separate add-on.
ServiceTitan
ServiceTitan positions itself as the full operating system for larger, growing home-service businesses. Its three plans, Starter, Essentials and The Works, all list dispatching, scheduling and call booking, and its features include a pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll, commission tracking and marketing attribution. It prices per technician.
Tradeoff: It publishes no prices and has no self-serve trial, so you get a quote after a demo request. For a small garage door shop, that is a longer buying process than a tool you can start online today.
Workiz
Workiz sells three plans: Standard for growing teams, Pro for mid-size teams and Ultimate for multi-location companies and franchises. It includes QuickBooks Online sync, a client portal, a price book and Workiz Pay for online payments and tap to pay. The number of automations grows from 5 on Standard to 30 on Ultimate. It offers a 7-day free trial with no card.
Tradeoff: It publishes no prices, and its phone system (Genius Phone), AI answering (Genius Answering) and marketing tools are sold separately.
FieldEdge
FieldEdge sells three tiers, Select, Premier and Elite, scaling from essential single-truck tools up to comprehensive multi-truck operations. Mobile app licenses included rise from 2 on Select to 4 on Premier and 6 on Elite, and features like outbound call recording, warehouse inventory management and a consumer management portal are Elite-only.
Tradeoff: It publishes no prices anywhere and offers no free trial; the vendor's stated reason is that its onboarding team walks every new account through setup instead.
Which garage door software should you choose?
Choose based on whether garage-door-specific tools are worth paying for, or whether a published price matters more than trade-specific presets. Half the tools here require a demo before you see a number.
- Solo operator, want garage-door-specific tools. Garage Door Matrix Starter ($19.99/mo under launch pricing) includes a spring calculator and inspection forms built for this trade.
- Solo operator, want a published general tool. Claver Starter ($19/mo, 2 users) and Jobber Core ($49/mo, or $29/mo billed annually) add booking and a customer portal.
- Small crew, 6 to 8 people. Garage Door Matrix Growth is $39.99/mo for 6 users under launch pricing, and Claver Crew is $39/mo for 8 users.
- Larger or multi-truck operations. ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldEdge are built for this scale, but expect a demo before you see a price.
- Growing crew, 5 to 20 people, published price. Claver Business is $79/mo for 20 users, and Jobber Connect for up to 5 users is $199/mo ($149/mo billed annually).

What should a garage door business look for in software?
Garage door work involves site checks, spring and opener specifics, and often warranty tracking, so it's worth knowing what's built in versus what you'd have to set up yourself.
- Trade-specific tools versus general presets. Garage Door Matrix has a spring calculator and inspection forms built for this trade. General tools give you a price book and custom fields you build yourself.
- Whether you can see a price today. ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldEdge require a demo before you learn what they cost. Garage Door Matrix, Jobber, Housecall Pro and Claver publish their prices.
- How it charges for users. Some tools price by user or team size (Jobber, Housecall Pro), some include a set number of users in each plan (Claver, Garage Door Matrix), and ServiceTitan prices per technician without a published number. Price your team as it will be a year from now.
- Trial length and signup friction. Garage Door Matrix's trial is gated to approved companies, and FieldEdge offers no trial at all. Housecall Pro and Claver let you start today.
- Whether a promotional price will hold. If a vendor labels its pricing a launch or introductory rate, like Garage Door Matrix does, confirm the regular price and how long the discount lasts before you build a budget around it.
- Getting your data out. Make sure you can export customers, jobs and invoices as CSV files if you switch tools later. Our guide on how to switch field service software walks through the move.
